Our client is a highly credentialed User Experience Consultancy, who has a collaborative team of highly creative and quality-focused digital Experience professionals. They are seeking a Client Engagement Manager / Account Manager who fully embodies the company’s ideals, and who can use their expertise in the areas of client relations and business development to consolidate the company’s position as a market leader in the User Experience Design field.
Directly reporting to the General Manager, the role will involve managing executive level client relationships to deliver the best outcomes for the company. You will have direct responsibility for business development activities, including proposal writing and quote development. You will contribute to new business methods, operational processes, and its strategic direction. You will be liaising with both internal and external teams to make sure projects are running smoothly and client needs are being met. In this regard, you will also ideally have some experience in project management; someone who can understand the scope and details of a project to provide the best possible information to both the client and the design teams.
The essential skills required for this position are:
- At least 5 years experience in client management and relationship development within the Digital, Web and IT industries
- Possessing a confidence and grace that immediately places people at ease when you are in the room
- Strong experience with business development and actively sourcing new clients
- Being someone who thrives on engaging with clients and loves to be at the forefront of business solutions
- Be extremely knowledgeable about the digital business world and its unique needs
- Being able to instinctively grasp the distinctive needs of each company client
- Having a solid understanding of the goals and processes of User Experience Design
- Proven experience acting as a go-between with company/client issues
- An ability to extensively document processes in order to keep abreast of all client interactions and essential information
As the right candidate, you will have the ability to immediately grasp both the goals and the processes of the User Experience Design team. You will be able to use that insight to drive solutions from research into primary-user responses and needs, concept visualisation, to client presentations. You will be able to truly embed yourself in the innovative and collaborative nature of the company.
